Come on up to Otaki Village's big Friday night street party this Friday, July 20. From 5pm until 9pm the town is celebrating the newly upgraded township as well as Matariki.

Many Main Street shops will be open and you can hear live bands all night, there's a big lantern parade after dark along Main Street, drummers, hip hop, kapa haka, stilt walkers, fire dancers, food from local cafes and restaurants, a tape art display, face painting, story telling, a bouncy castle and slide, and lots more.

Otaki Museum is opening its new exhibition on moko called Face Value, the Otaki Players will be in costume for their upcoming play about the 1970s and will have the Civic Theatre open with ukelele players, and Te Wananga o Raukawa's art centre will be open. It's an evening of family fun like it used to be in Otaki.
