The Karori Lions Karnival and Fair is growing bigger and better each year, and continues to attract people from both Karori and the wider Wellington area, as well as stall holders from much further afield.
This year’s Karnival is shaping up to be the best one ever!
The Karnival and Fair is located in central Karori at Benburn Park in Campbell Street and is well supported by the local community and businesses.
There are games and rides, live Stage Entertainment all day and best of all, heaps of quality stalls. The huge Lions Book Stall is one of the most popular attractions each year.
The Karnival is the premier event for the suburb of Karori, giving focus to community groups and entertainers while providing quality shopping opportunities.
Karori Lions Club members organise this event - all are volunteers, and all are actively involved on the day. The Karnival and Fair is a community projects fundraising event and is supported by the Wellington City Council.
This year’s Karnival proceeds will go towards our own special Lions project. We will be building a shelter within Zealandia for use by school groups and the general public in celebration and recognition of Lions Clubs International 100 years of Community Service.
Come and soak up the atmosphere, shop till you drop, enjoy the entertainment and games, and relax with some of the great food on offer.
